Locum Oral Health Therapist - Adelaide and surrounds

Location: Bupa Dental, Adelaide, South Australia, Australia

Contract type: Casual

Minimum 2+ years' experience required.

About the role

We are looking for an experienced, passionate and customer centric Oral Health Therapist to join the team as a Locum Oral Health Therapist. You will be required to travel to practices within the network in Adelaide for available shifts. For this position we require a minimum availability of 2 days as your shifts will be stint-based. This role is not applicable for Graduate OHTs.

Oral Health Therapists are in demand, so you can expect a busy workload in an environment where you have the flexibility to balance work and life. Our well-managed appointments system ensures you have time to deliver high-quality patient care.

Dental professionals at Bupa Dental contribute by taking on key procedures to enable us to see more patients more regularly, supporting the team's success.

Responsibilities
  • Assist patients in developing and maintaining good oral health
  • Accurately interpret treatment plans and maintain detailed clinical records
  • Gather data relevant to the dentist's direction and assess patients' presenting condition
  • Adhere to infection control protocols
  • Provide routine dental treatment for people of all ages, including examinations and diagnosis
  • Treat patients for oral health conditions, taking radiographs, fluoride therapy, etc.
  • Actively promote comprehensive dentistry and maintenance
Requirements
  • Minimum 2+ years' experience as an Oral Health Therapist or equivalent
  • Current DCSI Working with Children clearance before commencing role
