This is a maternity relief position and should the permanent incumbent require an early return from maternity leave, this contract of employment will cease with two weeks notice . Maternity relief positions can be for a period of up to 12 months, with the possibility of continued employment for up to a further 12 months for maternity leave reduced hours, therefore there are no claims to permanency.

Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD) is seeking enthusiastic Level 1 and Level 2 Speech Pathologists to join our paediatric team.

About the Role

As a Speech Pathologist in our paediatric service, you will provide comprehensive speech pathology assessments and interventions to children and their families across multiple settings, including clinics, community locations, and preschools throughout the Central Coast region (Lakehaven, Long Jetty, Erina, Gosford, Woy Woy).

You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to design and deliver evidence-based care plans tailored to the unique needs of each child, contributing to the ongoing development of our speech pathology services.   • Independent Operation :Works independently with minimal supervision, ensuring care meets professional, organizational, legal, and ethical standards.
  • Paediatric Expertise :Manages paediatric caseloads, excelling in assessment, diagnosis, and management.
  • Caseload Management :Effectively handles caseloads, adhering to departmental clinical procedures and guidelines.
  • Professional Engagement :Contributes to the professional network, engages in ongoing education and training, and participates in regular professional practice supervision.
  • Clinical Research :Participates in clinical research activities as required.
  • Continuous Improvement :Leads continuous improvement initiatives and business plan activities to enhance service delivery and client outcomes.
