Practice Details & Role Overview :

This position is located in Heywood, Victoria with an Aboriginal Health Practice. Heywood is a family-oriented town, known for its strong sense of community and connectedness. It is close to the beach and offers serene country living. The facilities you will work in, include a new health clinic which is currently under construction and is expected to be completed later this year.

In the interim, the existing facility has well equipped consulting rooms shared between your colleagues of other healthcare workers.

Role Overview & Key Responsibilities :

  • Provide primary medical care, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of a wide range of health conditions.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments, consultations, and examinations for patients of all ages.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, in collaboration with patients and their families, to promote health and wellbeing.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in accordance with best practice standards and regulatory requirements.

Your Essential Competencies :

AHPRA General or Specialist RegistrationAustralian Citizenship or Permanent ResidencyDegree Qualified DoctorExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsCommitment to providing patient-centered care and promoting community health and wellbeingExperience or interest in rural and remote healthcare is desirable
