About the Team

The Tax Advisory Group ('TAG') is composed of highly qualified professionals delivering comprehensive tax advisory services, focusing on the middle market sector of the Australian economy. The State Taxes team specializes in Land Tax, Stamp Duty, and property-related taxes, working collaboratively across practice areas.

About the Role

As a Senior Manager or Client Director in our State Taxes team, you will provide technical and commercially focused advice to a diverse client base across Australia, primarily on Stamp Duty, Land Tax, and related property taxes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing accurate, tailored advice and solutions to clients and internal stakeholders
  • Preparing private ruling applications, objections, lodgements, and relief applications
  • Managing investigations, compliance activities, and disputes with revenue authorities
  • Building and maintaining client relationships and collaborating internally
  • Participating in training, business development, and internal initiatives
Candidate Profile

We seek candidates with:

  • A law and/or accounting degree with experience in state taxes or related legislative interpretation
  • Strong legislative interpretation skills and ability to craft practical advice
  • Commercial focus, strategic thinking, and ability to work independently or collaboratively
