Welcome to Ability Action Australia We are one of the largest providers to the NDIS, supporting over 10,000 participants every year with the care they need, when and where it is needed. We have a multi-disciplinary team approach, building a quality support service around the needs and goals of our participants and their family. Help us help others with life changing support that can improve their independence, access, development, health and wellbeing, and function. We would love to hear from Occupational Therapists with all levels of experience who enjoy the flexibility of working the community and a clinic space.

We are looking for an OT to join our supportive and social Tamworth team. This is a great opportunity to be a part of a wider multidisciplinary team who support each other\'s challenges and wins. No two days are ever the same. You might find us in daycare centres, in schools and homes, and even on outreach trips to Gunnedah and surrounds. We might even bump into you on one of our monthly Wellness Walks down by the river - we love supporting our regional area

Successful candidates will be providing supports to cover NDIS participants living in the following areas (depending on where you live): Tamworth, Watsons Creek, Upper Manilla, Gunnedah, Wallabadah and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities
  • Manage an allocated caseload (based on your negotiated hours) and deliver timely therapeutic services
  • Assess participants' developmental, cognitive, emotional, psychological and physical function and capacity through clinical observations and standardised assessments
  • Interpret findings to formulate treatment goals unique to each participant
  • Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions to help participants enhance their quality of life and meet their goals
  • Mentor and nurture early career clinicians
  • Maintain awareness of current legislation to ensure compliance
What's in it for you?
  • Work flexibility – From 24 hours a week to full time, you select the hours and days that work best for you as an individual
  • Excellent remuneration – Industry leading salary + salary packaging + car allowance + laptop + smartphone + purchase leave
  • True work-life balance – The autonomy of setting your calendar, your way. Combine the convenience of working from home with time at our supportive hubs
  • Career progression – Access to ongoing training tailored to your interests and long-term goals combined with professional development opportunities through Ability Action Australia and our parent company, MedHealth
  • Continuous Professional Development – A generous CPD allowance and paid leave days to complete this
  • Passionate and positive culture – Be part of a purpose-driven team that believes in making a difference
Qualifications
  • Current registration with AHPRA as an Occupational Therapist
  • A passion for working with vulnerable members of your community
  • A desire to share your knowledge and inspire junior clinicians
  • The ability to work collaboratively with a large multi-d team
