About our school

Located in Victoria Point, St Rita's Primary School serves approximately 435 students. Established by the Augustinians in 1993, our community is rooted in our motto: "Work of faith, labour of love and service, and promise of hope". We provide inclusive, Catholic education to families in Victoria Point and the Redlands. Our dedicated staff and supportive parents create an environment that fosters a lifelong love of learning. We incorporate innovative technology, providing 1:1 laptops for Years 4-6 and class sets of devices for younger students, including individual iPads for each classroom.

• Work hours: 12 hours/week | Two days
• Salary: $86,601 - $124,725 per annum + super (depending on experience)

About the opportunity

In this position, you will be responsible for:

1. Creating a nurturing, ordered, learner-centred, supportive, and cooperative environment aligned with curriculum policies and practices.
2. Developing and implementing quality curriculum programs, evaluating their effectiveness, assessing and reporting student progress, and communicating these outcomes to students, parents, and the community.
3. Collaborating with the leadership team, teachers, and staff to contribute to the school's professional life and foster a positive school culture.
4. Engaging in professional learning to enhance student outcomes.
5. Building positive relationships through pastoral care and supporting students' spiritual and moral development.
6. Ensuring that the teachings and values of the Catholic Church underpin teaching and learning practices.

About you

To succeed in this role, you will bring relevant skills and experience, including:

1. Creating a supportive, learner-focused classroom aligned with the Australian Curriculum.
2. Designing and delivering effective curriculum programs in accordance with the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers.
3. Engaging with colleagues, students, and parents/carers to enrich learning experiences and achieve optimal educational outcomes.
4. Supporting students' spiritual and moral development with passion.

Eligibility and safeguarding requirements:

1. Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the contract.
2. Current registration with the Queensland College of Teachers.
