The primary purpose of this role is to lead and execute timely audits to uphold AAL quality standards, providing assurance and insights to help maintain the business within the Board's risk appetite.

About the role
  • Lead and execute high-quality, on-time audits, assessing business risks, control environments, and performing follow-ups. Audits may include projects, culture, behaviors, and IT.
  • Produce clear, concise audit reports with identified issues, root causes, and thematic insights, presenting findings to senior management and the Chief Audit Executive.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, communicating effectively across levels.
  • Identify and implement improvements to enhance internal audit effectiveness and reporting quality.
  • Oversee special engagements, ensuring timely delivery and value addition without compromising audit neutrality.
  • Assist in preparing the Annual Internal Audit Plan and Five-Year Audit Plan.
  • Contribute to strategic goals, fostering a culture of quality, engagement, and continuous improvement, providing feedback and coaching as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with local and Group standards, IIA standards, and the Code of Ethics.
About you
  • Have tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and relevant certifications such as CA, CPA, CISA, or CIA.
  • Experience in Cyber/IT or risk-based auditing within operational and IT domains; understanding of financial services regulation is a plus.
  • Strong background in audit methodology and risk assessments.
  • Knowledge of the three lines of defense model and strategic business processes.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of clear and impactful interaction.
  • Resourceful, responsible, and able to drive tasks to completion.
