About the role

AGL's HSE team in Bayswater has an opportunity for a Graduate Advisor – Health & Safety.

Based at our Bayswater Power Station, the successful candidate will be passionate about building a career in health and safety. You will be supported, nurtured, and developed while gaining exposure to all critical areas of health and safety in high-risk industries and environments.

What you'll be doing :

  • Supporting the development, implementation, and review of H&S policies, systems, and procedures, including the AGL contractor management framework.
  • Supporting projects in accordance with AGL HSE Project Governance procedures and Contractor Management Framework.
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of H&S initiatives and actions.
  • Supporting the business with HSE contractor forums for critical contracting engagements.
  • Assisting the Manager with RFP/tender reviews.
  • Monitoring H&S performance for projects and implementing improvement programs or interventions for continuous performance enhancement.

What you'll bring to the table

  • Tertiary qualification in Work Health and Safety, Environment, or related discipline; Cert IV or above (preferred but not essential).
  • Enthusiasm to begin a career in health and safety.
  • Strong people and relationship skills.
  • Understanding of operational site safety requirements and safety as a core value.
  • Demonstrated planning and organizational skills.
  • A team player excited by new and challenging environments.
