Role Description

This is ideally a full-time position for an echo specialist Cardiac Physiologist based in Darwin, NT. We are open to discussing flexible employment options such as fixed-term contracts, part-time, or locum arrangements. The role involves performing and interpreting cardiac diagnostic tests, primarily echocardiograms, with significant travel to regional and remote communities. Daily tasks include conducting cardiac tests and collaborating with cardiologists and healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Professional certification and current ASAR registration as a Cardiac Sonographer
  • Proficiency in echocardiograms, stress testing, ECGs, and other non-invasive cardiology tests
  • Interest in rheumatic heart disease or willingness to learn
  • Willingness to travel across regional and remote NT centers
  • Strong analytical and interpretative skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Interest in professional development activities
