Overview

Cadet Digital Content Officer at Careers at Council. The City of Canterbury Bankstown is one of the largest councils in NSW, delivering 28 key services to over 385,000 residents.

Responsibilities
  • Create videography, photography and digital content to highlight services, initiatives and projects and share the Council's stories with the community.
  • Monitor social media, respond to media inquiries and assist with managing urgent issues.
  • Create and edit content for various platforms; support the Media Specialist; assist with media briefings; contribute to Mayoral engagement and outreach activities.
  • Refer to the position description for the full list of duties.
Qualifications
  • Be enrolled in a tertiary qualification in communications, media or a related field; you must have two years left in your course.
  • Experience managing social and digital media platforms.
  • Proven ability to create engaging content for social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn).
  • Skilled in producing video and photography content for various channels and styles.
  • Strong understanding of social and web analytics tools to inform decision-making.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously within tight deadlines; thrives in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
  • Available to work weeknights and weekends.
  • Hold a current Class C Driver's Licence.
Salary

The salary range commences at $58,494 (T08) + 12% super.
