About the role:

We're looking for a motivated FP&A Analyst to join our high-performing team supporting Victoria's premier sporting venues. Reporting to the FP&A Manager, you'll play a key role in delivering core financial planning activities including annual budgets, monthly forecasts and insightful management reporting that supports strategic planning and operational excellence.

In this role, you'll help shape the future of sport and community access by developing and maintaining robust financial models, identifying process improvements and providing timely, accurate insights to inform decision-making. Working closely with the broader Finance team and operational leaders, you'll be right at the heart of where sport and business intersect.

As the FP&A Analyst your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Support the annual budgeting process, encompassing identification of key initiatives and funding requirements, aligned to SSCT budgeting instructions around timelines and deliverables
  • Support monthly forecasting process, ensuring alignment across the business lines and venues
  • Analyse financial results, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to business unit and venue leadership
  • Standardise reporting templates and tools to ensure consistency and comparability across business units and venues
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in data analytics, reports automation and finance processes
  • Develop strong relationship with the wider Finance teams to enable accurate and insightful commentary on commercial and operational drivers behind the results
Required skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
  • A relevant professional certification (e.g., CPA, CA) is preferred
  • 1- 2 years of experience in analysis or business partner's roles
  • Strong understanding of financial modelling, forecasting, and budgeting processes
  • Competent from an analytical and numeric perspective and able to effectively communicate to non-financial team members
  • Excellent attention to detail, analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills
  • Ability to perform effectively under tight timelines in a highly dynamic environment
  • Proficiency in financial software (D365 & Jet Report preferred) and familiar with various operational systems
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Experience in Power Query and Power Pivot is highly desirable
