As an Environmental Professional, you will be part of the large construction team supporting projects across Australia and New Zealand, developing the environmental aspects of the full EPC scope of our wind farms.
Location: WA Projects, Western Australia. Camp-based site. Roster: 3 weeks on and 1 week off. FIFO/DIDO role.
Travel may be required to Melbourne and other sites for training and project support. Flexibility for working 6 days a week and nights is essential.
Responsibilities:- Demonstrate commitment to Safety, Quality, and environmental sustainability.
- Ensure a safe workplace, report hazards and incidents immediately.
- Adhere to all site health, safety, and environment policies and procedures.
- Ensure construction complies with quality specifications and legislative requirements.
- Provide technical advice on JSEA's, SWMS, and Risk Assessments.
- Accurately report incidents and maintain documentation.
- Assist with QSE reporting and incident management.
- Advise Vestas construction teams and subcontractors on environmental matters.
- Bachelor of Environmental Science or Engineering (or equivalent).
- White Card.
- 3-5 years civil construction experience in a site environmental role.
- Experience with compliance activities and environmental controls.
- Wind industry experience preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong understanding of Environmental Management Systems and technical skills in erosion, water quality, flora and fauna, rehabilitation.
- Proficiency with environmental software (Enablon, iAuditor preferred), MS Office, SAP.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and time management skills.
- Self-motivated, proactive, team leader, responsible, well-organized.
