About the Role :

An exciting, newly created role exists for a highly motivated Occupational Therapist to join our team. This is a chance to be part of something exciting, grow with our organisation, and work within a collaborative, energetic, multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities :

  1. Provide evidence-based, person-centred assessment, clinical management, and intervention to people with cognitive, physical, or psychosocial disabilities aligned with NDIS goals.
  2. Represent ClearSky and assigned NDIS participants at planning and related meetings concerning Occupational Therapy matters.
  3. Manage a caseload of NDIS participants in their natural settings, often with complex needs, multiple co-morbidities, and functional limitations across various life areas.
  4. Assess the need for modifications to homes and other environments accessed by people with developmental, intellectual, or physical disabilities.
  5. Use occupation assessment checklists and follow prescribed processes when recommending or prescribing equipment.
  6. Implement a range of intervention strategies addressing activities of daily living, functional performance, motor skills, sensory processing, and behavioural competencies.
  7. Assess equipment needs related to daily activities like sleeping, sitting, transport, and personal care for NDIS participants.
  8. Perform other duties as required.

Selection Criteria :

  1. Hold a bachelor's degree (or higher) in Occupational Therapy.
  2. Current registration with AHPRA.
  3. Ability to interact effectively with participants, families, and service providers.
  4. Knowledge of relevant legislation.
  5. Current WWCC (Blue Card), NDIS Worker Screening, First Aid & CPR certifications.
  6. Valid Australian driver's license.
