Overview

Senior Software Engineer opportunity with Australian Retirement Trust (ART) based in Brisbane or Melbourne. You will lead design, development, and support of high-quality application solutions with a strong focus on Appian. This is a hands-on technical role with mentoring responsibilities and a focus on scalable, secure software that supports ART's strategic goals.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and document Appian-based solutions aligned with ART's technical strategy and business needs.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and team members to evaluate, analyse, and estimate change requests; ensure successful, quality-driven implementations.
  • Investigate, resolve, and test incidents/defects, providing timely and effective solutions.
  • Conduct code and design reviews to ensure high-quality, consistent solutions.
  • Align work with ART's Software Delivery Life Cycle framework.
  • Adapt and commit to continuous learning; mentor team members and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.

About You

You are a highly skilled software engineer with deep expertise in Appian and solid experience in .NET/C# development. You thrive in collaborative environments, enjoy solving complex problems, and are passionate about delivering robust, user-centric solutions. Your ability to lead technically and communicate effectively makes you a trusted contributor across business and IT teams.

Key Skills and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or equivalent.
  • Extensive experience developing enterprise-grade solutions using Appian.
  • Proficiency in .NET/C# programming.
  • Experience in solution architecture and integration.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a focus on quality and performance.
  • Excellent communication skills for engaging both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience in Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies and release coordination.
  • Proven ability to estimate, plan, and manage development tasks in complex environments.
  • Experience mentoring developers and contributing to team leadership.
