Desi Holdings Pty Ltd T / a The Spice Hut, located at Shop 7 / 1 Edwards Tce, Baringa QLD 4551, is currently seeking an experienced Curry Chef to join their team in a full-time role working 38 hours per week.

Duties and Responsibilities :

  1. Prepare and cook various types of Curries with authentic Indian taste.
  2. Prepare and cook food meeting dietary requirements where required.
  3. Plan menus and adjust existing dishes, including pricing, while keeping overhead costs minimal.
  4. Ensure proper seasoning, garnishing, and portion control for all dishes served.
  5. Apply correct freezing and preservation techniques to extend ingredient shelf life without compromising quality.
  6. Provide support and training to other kitchen staff.
  7. Address and resolve any kitchen-related issues promptly.
  8. Manage stock, including ordering, rotation, and minimizing waste.
  9. Uphold high standards in food preparation, presentation, and consistency at all times.

Applicants must hold a Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery (or relevant qualification) and have a minimum of 1 year experience.

A salary between $77,000 - $79,000 will be offered to the successful candidate. An immediate start is available.
