We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Clinical Nurses to join our dynamic team at WACHS. In collaboration with the Community Health Manager and Nurse Manager Community Health, the Clinical Nurses will play a vital role in ensuring the highest quality of client care and nursing practice within the designated work area. As a Clinical Nurse working in community health you will advocate for clients, uphold their rights, and promote health and well-being in the community through effective collaboration, communication, and therapeutic interactions. You will integrate health promotion strategies into nursing practice and facilitate client independence, ensuring a holistic approach to healthcare.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain competence in practice according to national nursing standards.
- Promote community health nursing and support the professional development of self and others.
- Enable client communication and foster effective team collaboration.
- Facilitate therapeutic interactions using a family-centred model of care.
- Apply public health policies and evaluate health promotion activities.
- Eligible for registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
- Extensive clinical nursing experience and well-developed nursing skill.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively across diverse populations
- Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Solid understanding of primary health care principles and their application in practice.
- Willingness to engage in professional development opportunities and group facilitation.
- Competent in using Health Information Systems and maintaining accurate records.
