As part of the Senior Leadership Team in Casino, the Health & Safety Business Partner is responsible for partnering with leaders and teams across the organisation to embed a culture of safety, ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, and drive continuous improvement and capability in workplace safety practices.
This position combines strategic input with operational support, enabling the business to achieve its goals while prioritising the wellbeing and capability of employees and stakeholders.
Job DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated Health & Safety Business Partner to join our team based in Casino. This role involves developing and implementing health and safety strategies, ensuring compliance, and fostering a safety-first culture across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with leadership to develop and execute health and safety strategies aligned with organisational goals.
- Lead safety initiatives and ensure a proactive approach to risk management.
- Provide expert advice on health and safety matters.
- Conduct risk assessments and site audits to identify hazards and ensure legal compliance.
- Manage incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
- Design and deliver health and safety training programs.
- Collaborate with departments to integrate safety into daily operations.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies and industry groups.
- Monitor safety performance metrics and lead safety projects.
- Stay updated on legislative changes and industry best practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or related field.
- Certification in health and safety (e.g., Cert IV, NEBOSH) is desirable.
- Proven experience in a health and safety advisory or business partnering role.
- Strong knowledge of safety legislation and risk management.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience in delivering safety training and managing change.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
