Sands Fridge Lines is a leader in Refrigerated Distribution and Cold Storage in Western Australia. With expansive cold and dry storage facilities and a large fleet of commercial vehicles, Sands Fridge Lines can service the diverse needs of its customers within both metropolitan and regional areas.

We are looking for a trade-qualified, self-motivated, reliable person with experience working unsupervised in a busy environment on trucks & trailers. The ideal candidate is seeking a long-term position, with problem-solving skills and the ability to take responsibility for mechanical issues that may arise on the job.

Job Tasks and Responsibilities:
  1. Carry out truck and trailer scheduled servicing, maintenance, and inspections
  2. Conduct regular maintenance checks of vehicles using diagnostic tools
  3. Diagnose and repair mechanical faults as required
  4. Maintain fleet service and repair records
  5. Source necessary mechanical parts
  6. Maintain a safe working environment in the workshop
  7. Participate in on-call maintenance once per month (rotational)
Skills and Experience:
  • Australian-recognized Heavy-Duty Mechanical Trade Qualification
  • Proven experience in a similar role
  • Experience troubleshooting and servicing mechanical faults
  • Experience with American & Heavy Rigid Trucks and trailers
  • Own tools specific to the role
  • Understanding and commitment to safe work practices
  • Current and valid driver's license
