IT Consultant – 1st/2nd Line Support

Type: Full-time, Permanent

A Brisbane-based Managed Service Provider with a strong focus on culture, growth, and technical variety is seeking an ambitious and customer-facing IT Consultant to join their team. This role suits someone early in their IT career who is eager to gain broad hands-on experience while delivering high-quality support to a diverse client base.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain Microsoft Windows Server environments, including initial setup, software updates, and security patch deployment
• Configure and support Microsoft 365 and Azure cloud environments
• Provide 1st and 2nd Line support across a range of user and infrastructure issues
• Set up, monitor, and maintain VMware virtual machines and Veeam backup systems
• Conduct monthly backup recovery tests and regular system cleanups
• Assist with Sophos firewall support and configuration
• Build and configure computer systems and VoIP phone networks based on client requirements
• Support project delivery alongside senior technical staff

What We Are Looking For:

• 1–3 years of experience in a similar IT support or consulting role
• Solid knowledge of Windows Server, Microsoft 365, and Azure
• Exposure to VMware, Veeam, and Sophos firewalls is highly regarded
• Strong troubleshooting skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• A passion for learning and growing within a fast-paced MSP environment
• Certifications such as Microsoft (MCP, MS-900, AZ-900), CompTIA (A+, Network+, Security+), or a relevant IT degree/diploma are preferred
