About the Role

The purpose of the Security Lead role is to minimize the risk of security attacks disrupting business operations by ensuring secure practices for staff and systems, and to assure clients that Esri Australia operates securely when handling their business.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Utilize the Service Desk and BGG cybersecurity resources to complete BGG's ISMS maintenance activities.
  2. Direct BGG cybersecurity resources to capture, alert, and analyze key security incidents.
  3. Assist the Senior Manager in ITS and Cybersecurity with aligning BGG's cybersecurity posture with the Group framework.
  4. Collaborate with industry-leading security vendors to align Esri Australia's and BGG's security programs with a nationally recognised security framework.
  5. Define and implement suitable controls with stakeholders and conduct security awareness training.
  6. Represent BGG's security status, respond to client and auditor requests, and develop security collateral for proposals.
  7. Ensure documented roles and responsibilities are upheld and develop checklists for security attestation.
  8. Provide the Executive Team with visibility on security projects and critical vulnerabilities within the Enterprise Risk process.
  9. Address 2nd and 3rd level security support issues escalated from the Service Desk, troubleshoot complex cases, document resolutions, and share findings with the team.

About You

We are seeking a candidate with a keen attention to detail and a technical mindset, who is hands-on with cybersecurity tools and thrives in a dynamic environment.

You will bring:

  1. Bachelor's degree in IT, Cyber Security, or related fields is highly desirable.
  2. Technical experience in systems administration, software development, or cloud administration.
  3. Accreditations and Certifications: CISSP/CCSP, Azure Security Engineer, AWS Certified Security – Specialty.
  4. Knowledge of Australian security governance frameworks, and experience in the implementation of NIST CSF or ISO 27001 frameworks, including certification.
  5. Sound knowledge of technical controls for security risks.
  6. Proven track record of delivering quality information security outcomes and adapting to environmental and organisational change.
  7. Ability to present complex security information to senior stakeholders and potential customers.
  8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong interpersonal skills including customer service and stakeholder engagement.
  9. Full permanent working rights in Australia.
  10. Attitude and behaviour aligned with Esri Australia's core values.
