The role of Location Manager will primarily be responsible for managing the team and vehicle fleet requirements in order to meet operational goals. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated individual and will be required to undertake all operational duties involved with the successful running of the location. This exciting and fast paced role presents an excellent opportunity for a talented individual to utilise their leadership skills and operations expertise.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of location operations, initiating improvements and driving performance across all vehicle rental and service functions.
  • Organise the purchase, maintenance, and efficient use of rental vehicles, equipment, and fuel to ensure fleet readiness and reliability.
  • Liaise with customers to understand rental requirements, provide expert advice on vehicle options, hire rates, and rental obligations, and resolve any service-related issues or complaints.
  • Receive and manage rental bookings, planning and implementing efficient vehicle allocation and scheduling.
  • Ensure vehicles are cleaned, maintained, and stored in conditions that uphold quality and safety standards.
  • Coordinate the collection and delivery of vehicles, including logistics for vehicle transfers between branches or to customers.
  • Monitor and improve customer service delivery, implementing strategies to enhance satisfaction and service quality.
  • Maintain accurate business records and prepare operational reports, contributing to the development and execution of the annual business plan.
  • Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations and company policies across all vehicle rental operations.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment, coaching employees, identifying development needs, and managing performance to increase satisfaction and productivity.

To Be Successful You Will Have
  • Strong leadership skills with previous experience in leading teams
  • The ability to provide coaching and feedback to our employees
  • The ability to use your initiative and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Conflict resolution skills
  • Excellent computer proficiency especially with MS Office
  • The ability to maximise performance of the team
  • Knowledge of relevant industrial relations legislation
  • Previous car rental experience is desirable

Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role with the ability to lead and effectively manage employees is essential. Previous selling or sales experience is also highly desirable. The successful candidate will need to be an excellent communicator and be competent working across many different work groups.
