NES Fircroft is partnering with a gold mining resources client seeking a Project Mine Geologist - Gold.

The Role:
  • FIFO Perth 8:6 Roster
  • Permanent Position with a salary range of $125,000 - $165,000 + Super + Bonus
  • Immediate Start

In this role, you will provide geological expertise in identifying, mapping, and classifying material to maximize ore recovery in an open pit environment.

Duties will include:
  • Assisting with grade control drill programs, including management, planning, scheduling, liaising with drillers, and data validation.
  • Interpreting deposit mineralization, lithology, and structure through in-pit mapping and sampling.
  • Collaborating with technical services to extract mineralized domains, mitigate dilution, maximize recovery, and meet production targets.
  • Designing ore blocks, conducting ore mark outs, spotting, and bench mapping to reduce dilution and ensure proper stockpile control.
  • Collating geological and production data and reports.
  • Supervising 2 team members.
The Requirements:
  • BSc in Geology or equivalent.
  • Open Pit Gold experience is desirable.
  • Proficiency with GIS, 3D modeling software (e.g., Leapfrog, Deswik), and database systems (e.g., acQuire).
  • Understanding of QA/QC procedures, drilling, sampling practices, and standard gold industry laboratory methods.
