Advanced Analytics Specialist (Strategic Pricing) - Commercial Team

What you'll be doing

We are seeking a dynamic and data-driven Advanced Analytics Specialist to join our Commercial team full-time. This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects across the Commercial Division, with a special focus on Revenue Management.

Key Accountabilities

  1. Strategic Pricing: Employ a variety of statistical and analytical methods to develop data models that predict and optimises commercial trends and outcomes for senior leadership and other stakeholders to drive decisions.
  2. Data Modelling & Analysis: Employ a variety of statistical and analytical methods to develop data models that predict and explain commercial and operational trends for senior leadership and other stakeholders.
  3. Revenue Management Integration: Be part of an Advanced Analytics team embedded in Revenue Management, collaborating closely to drive commercial performance and provide decision support.
  4. Ad Hoc Analysis: Conduct ad hoc analyses to support multiple departments by compiling historical data and forecasting future trends, with a strong emphasis on revenue management.
  5. Industry Research: Continuously research and evaluate industry trends, practices, and methodologies to enhance the company's operational philosophy and performance.
  6. Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders to validate and refine existing assumptions and processes, ensuring alignment with commercial objectives.
  7. Data-Driven Recommendations: Communicate data-driven conclusions and strategic recommendations to senior leadership to optimize business processes and enhance commercial performance.
  8. Champion Analytics Culture: Promote a culture of analytics and serve as a centre of excellence for data integrity and analysis needs within the Revenue Management team.

You'll be great in this role if you have:

  1. Experience: A minimum of 4 years in Advanced Analytics or Data Science.
  2. Business Acumen: Ability to translate complex mathematical concepts into business-relevant insights for stakeholders, including executive-level management.
  3. Technical Skills: Proficiency in writing database queries for data analysis.
  4. Machine Learning: Experience with machine learning on large datasets to identify drivers and make predictions.
  5. Optimization Modelling: Capability in creating optimization models incorporating revenue drivers and ultimately increase revenue.
  6. Advanced Excel Skills: Expertise in Excel, including Power Query and PowerPivot, as well as modelling languages such as PowerBI, DAX, R, Python, and SQL.
  7. Predictive & Operational Models: Ability to create various predictive and operational models as needed.
  8. Simulation Models: Experience with simulation models.
