The Opportunity:

We are expanding our reach to senior secondary education (years 11 and 12) and are crafting exceptional Mathspace textbooks aligned with the latest curricula for NSW, VIC, and QLD. This is an exciting opportunity for educators with expertise in senior exam preparation to contribute to our innovative platform. Your work will impact hundreds of thousands of students across Australia and beyond, preparing them for critical exams and future academic pursuits.

We are recruiting senior educators for our new series of 11/12 books, scheduled for release in 2025/2026:

  • Team Lead: Full-time position involving content creation, team management of contractors, and guidance on curriculum alignment, coherence, and rigor.
  • Teacher Contractors: Part-time roles, minimum 12 hours per week, responsible for writing, editing, and reviewing topics.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and structure advanced mathematics content for Years 11 and 12 of the Queensland, Victorian, and New South Wales curricula, ensuring alignment with standards and exam preparation.
  • Be an expert in one state with sufficient experience to interpret standards for other states.
  • Review and update existing Mathspace materials for senior secondary levels.
  • Create comprehensive, challenging exam-style questions focusing on procedural skills, conceptual understanding, and real-world applications.
  • Design detailed lesson plans and educational resources to complement question sets and enhance student learning.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure content coherence and quality across modules.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in teaching or curriculum development for Years 11 and 12 mathematics.
  • Extensive knowledge of exam formats, question types, and assessment criteria relevant to senior secondary mathematics.
  • Minimum of 5 years of teaching experience in senior secondary settings, preferably with exam preparation or assessment design involvement.
  • Collaborative, proactive work ethic with keen attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to meet project deadlines.

Additional desirable skills include:

  • Background in coding or educational technology.
  • Ability and willingness to leverage AI tools to automate and improve workflows.
  • Familiarity with recent curriculum changes in senior secondary mathematics.
  • Experience in remote or digital education environments.
