About the role and team
At Xero, the Small Business Experience team builds and maintains core functionality and guidelines to ensure a consistent user experience for millions globally. We collaborate with product teams to create intuitive and beautiful software, championing efficiency and scalability.
We're looking for a Group Product Manager to lead the overall product strategy and execution for Xero's front-end experience. This is a newly created role with scope to grow the team in the future.
What you'll do
- Drive product strategy and develop a cohesive narrative for your product area.
- Lead your team to develop and execute the product roadmap.
- Coach team members and enhance product management capabilities within your team and the wider division.
- Collaborate with engineering, design, and other product teams to implement the overall product strategy.
- Deeply understand your external and internal customers, and foster shared understanding of target segments across your team and stakeholders.
- Communicate effectively with executives and stakeholders as a spokesperson for the product.
- Stay updated on industry trends.
- Develop and implement processes and governance to promote internal adoption of your products.
What you'll bring with you
- Strong influencing and stakeholder management skills to drive adoption and accountability across the business.
- Willingness to be hands-on with product work alongside managing your team.
- Experience in creating and operationalising governance structures and processes.
- Knowledge of building and scaling reusable systems (design systems experience is a plus).
- Prioritisation and decision-making skills to select high-impact roadmap items and avoid siloing.
- Ability to drive outcomes independently while shaping product strategy across multiple teams, aligning vision and execution at scale.
