Position Details:

• Casual Maintenance Officer – South Coast (with regular Fridays in Gerringong)
• Pay: $31.51/hour + 25% casual loading = $39.39/hour
• Superannuation: 12%
• Schedule: Ongoing Fridays + additional casual shifts to cover leave

About the Role:

This role supports Uniting's aged care services across NSW South Coast, requiring a skilled Maintenance Officer or experienced Handyperson. It offers a guaranteed regular Friday shift at Gerringong and additional casual hours. Ideal for someone organized, proactive, and committed to maintaining safe, compliant, and welcoming environments.

Responsibilities include:

• Perform timely planned and reactive maintenance to buildings, plant, equipment, and grounds
• Undertake property repairs, safety checks, and upkeep of facilities across multiple sites
• Ensure compliance with WHS standards and internal policies
• Communicate effectively with residents, staff, and families with empathy
• Support safe, sustainable, and high-quality service delivery

Essential Qualifications and Skills:

• Proven experience in maintenance or trade roles
• Trade qualification or equivalent experience
• Strong knowledge of WHS and maintenance standards
• Experience with contractor oversight
• Good communication and computer skills
• Current NSW Driver's Licence

Desirable:

• Experience in aged care or retirement living
• Knowledge of Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
• Ability to adapt across multiple sites

Additional requirements include a current Police Check and COVID-19 vaccinations.
