OverviewBarwon Health's Acute Physiotherapy Department provides services to a wide range of clinical areas. Our team delivers inpatient physiotherapy across wards including Medical, RAPU, SSU and Oncology, with specialties in surgical, medical, orthopaedics, neurology, paediatrics, Rapid Assessment and Planning Unit, Oncology and the Emergency Department. The role is an organised, dynamic and flexible leadership position to lead the Medical Physiotherapy team.
Responsibilities- Lead and deliver best practice Physiotherapy services across the dynamic and busy Medical/RAPU/Oncology/SSU wards
- Provide leadership, teaching and supervisory expertise to Grade 1 and 2 Physiotherapists, Physiotherapy Assistants and Undergraduate Students
- Monitor and review the Physiotherapy service in consultation with the team, stakeholders and managers
- Weekend work will form part of this role
- Experience across Medical, RAPU, SSU and Oncology services
- Leadership and supervisory capabilities within a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to evidence-based, patient-centred care
