Remote is seeking System Administrators to join the team in HQJOC. The Data Fusion Centre System Administrators (SYSADMIN) provide subject matter expertise in the maintenance of Joint Situational Understanding and Targeting System (JSUTS) applications and hardware. SYSADMINS are to provide local user support, level 2 troubleshooting, and fault finding. SYSADMINs will possess a good working knowledge of JSUTS applications, including GCCS-J, JTT, JADOCS, and GCCS-I3, and have a thorough understanding of the operating and host environments of these applications.

Role Description

SYSADMINs will contribute to the development of governance and policy for the ADF DFC and support the DFC System Manager and Joint Data Network Operations Officer by identifying and integrating JDN requirements into the capability generation lifecycle, ensuring future COP and mission systems provide the required capability for the timely and accurate data exchange to support the joint force.

Statement of Duties
  1. Diagnose and troubleshoot application issues on Linux and Windows systems
  2. Diagnose and troubleshoot TCP/IP, UDP, and VLAN issues
  3. Manage JSUTS virtual infrastructure
  4. Manage JSUTS active directory, users, groups, DNS, DHCP, access control, and certificates
  5. Perform system analysis and report on faults and issues
  6. Conduct system backups and restorations as required
  7. Communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders as required
  8. Coordinate activities between internal and external teams to ensure business continuity and minimise JSUTS system downtime
  9. Provide desk-side assistance to end users to rectify technical issues
  10. Proactively seek improvements in JSUTS network and provide solutions to problems such as bottlenecks, single points of failure, and capacity issues as they arise
Technical Skills
  1. Red Hat Certified System Administrator
  2. LDAP experience
  3. System administrator experience on Australian Top Secret servers
  4. Familiarity with GCCS-J, JADOCS, JTT systems
