Senior Contracts Administrator – High-Value Construction Projects

The Role :

We are looking for a Senior Contracts Administrator to manage procurement, subcontractor relationships, and financial oversight on major projects. This role requires someone with experience working for a Tier 1 or Tier 2 contractor, who can take ownership of contract administration, contribute to project efficiencies, and manage both upstream and downstream stakeholder relationships.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Coordinating the procurement of materials and ensuring smooth site delivery.
  • Preparing and managing subcontract agreements.
  • Evaluating trade packages, negotiating terms, and presenting tender recommendations.
  • Overseeing contract variations and managing RFI processes.
  • Monitoring project expenditure and delivering regular financial reports.
  • Ensuring compliance with systems and identifying process improvements.
  • Guiding and mentoring junior team members, fostering their professional development.
  • Providing commercial insights to Project Managers to strengthen project delivery.

Your Experience :

  • A degree in Construction Management or a related field.
  • 10+ years' experience in contract administration, ideally within a Tier 1 or Tier 2 contractor.
  • A proven track record of working on large-scale building construction projects.
  • Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with outstanding record-keeping abilities.
  • Experience with contract administration software (JOBPAC preferred but not essential).
  • The ability to work independently whilst also leading and mentoring others.
