Step Into a Role That Gives Back

We are seeking multiple full-time Vocationally Registered General Practitioners in three regional Queensland locations: Chinchilla, St George. These roles report to the Senior Medical Officer and are part of a multidisciplinary team providing culturally safe, patient-centred primary healthcare to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.

Your key responsibilities include:
  • Providing culturally responsive patient consultations (full cultural safety training provided)
  • Managing chronic disease and preventative health plans
  • Collaborating with Aboriginal Health Practitioners and allied health teams
  • Supporting maternal and child health, mental health, and wellbeing initiatives
  • Utilising telehealth and local referral pathways
  • Ensuring compliance with clinical governance standards
  • Participating in peer support and professional development forums

You will have access to a broad clinical network, including dental, cardiology, endocrinology, paediatrics, psychiatry, ophthalmology, and more.

The Ideal Candidate

Must be a Vocationally Registered GP with Fellowship from RACGP, ACRRM, or equivalent, and unrestricted AHPRA registration. A minimum of 3 years' experience in general practice, preferably with rural or Aboriginal health exposure, is required.

Additional qualities include:
  • Understanding or willingness to develop cultural safety principles
  • Proficiency in Medicare billing and patient care planning
  • Ability to work independently with a community focus
  • Interest in long-term regional engagement

Rewards and Benefits

Your remuneration package varies by location but includes:

  • Base salary from $312,000 to $390,000
  • Superannuation of $30,000
  • Vehicle allowance of $300/week

Optional Independent Contractor Model
  • Daily rates from $1,600 to $2,000
  • Commission on billings above $35,000/month
  • Suitable for experienced GPs seeking flexible short- or long-term work
