Position Details

Narrandera Public School is located in the township of Narrandera on the Murrumbidgee River on the traditional lands of the Wiradjuri people. The school has a total enrolment of 267, including 121 Aboriginal students. The Parents & Citizens Association (P&C), the Narrandera Aboriginal Education Consultative Group (AECG) and various community groups are active and supportive partners that contribute to learning and well-being programs for our students. The school prioritises high expectations of all learners and a culture based on four key values: being respectful, responsible, safe and a learner. The motto STRIVE TO EXCEL features in day-to-day practices, and the school focuses on data-driven practices and differentiated instruction to meet student needs.

Specific Selection Criteria

• Approval to teach Infants & Primary library or currently undertaking or currently enrolled in Teacher Librarian qualifications approved by the NSW Department of Education.

• Highly developed interpersonal skills with the capacity to work collaboratively and build positive relationships with students, staff and the school community.
• Demonstrated ability to implement quality teaching and learning programs with a focus on supporting Aboriginal students and students with additional learning requirements.

Conditions

• An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.

• A Relocation support payment of $5,000 up to $8,000 will be available for eligible applicants.
