About the Role

We're looking for an experienced and client-oriented Senior Financial Lines Underwriter to join our motivated underwriting team in Sydney for a January 2025 start or earlier if available

This role will see responsibility for:

  • Development of business opportunities within the Financial Lines segment
  • Manage a profitable Financial Lines portfolio
  • Communicate DUAL's underwriting appetite to broking partners
  • Developing and maintaining broker relationships
  • Analyse and approve referrals for junior staff
  • Contribute to the training and development of underwriting staff

About You

You'll be a motivated and experienced financial lines insurance professional looking to join our hard-working Underwriting team in Sydney. You will have a strong understanding of financial lines insurance and be client-oriented. Design and Construction experience is preferable.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate confidence in managing multiple clients including both renewals and new business, be comfortable providing training, mentorship, and coaching to fellow staff as well as presenting to external clients.

Your communication skills and passion for quality service allow you to effectively build and maintain successful relationships and manage service standards by timely response to broker requests.
