Teacher (Early Childhood)

Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Primary School, located in the picturesque town of Esperance, is a co-educational primary school catering for approximately 140 students from Pre-Kindergarten to Year 6. The school was built in 1992 and was established to be a distinctively Catholic learning community with a clear vision to provide a stimulating environment where each student has the opportunity to grow in their faith and to be confident life-long learners. We Make Jesus Real by living out our CORE values of Courage, Optimism, Respect and Excellence. Our inquiry approach to learning is evident throughout the school, focusing on student engagement and rich, real life learning opportunities. The school has adopted evidence-based programs to support student learning, such as PreLit, InitiaLit, SpellEx, MiniLit and MacqLit. The specialist subjects of Auslan, Science, Physical Education, Visual Arts and Dance are taught in Pre-Primary to Year Six. All classes have access to iPads, with a 1 : 1 program operating in Years 4-6.

We seek a Teacher (Early Childhood) to begin 1 January 2026. This is a full-time, fixed-term position (01 / 01 / 26-31 / 12 / 27). The successful applicant will be part of a dedicated staff, who work together with a child-first approach. Early Career Teachers are supported with a comprehensive Early Career Teacher Mentoring & Induction Program, which received system level recognition in 2023, awarded a Quality Catholic Education Award -

Qualifications Required
