As a cloud consultant you'll lead out customer engagements, assessing their needs and developing and implementing industry leading solutions leveraging Azure & AWS technologies.
Whilst solving customers business challenges, you'll provide enablement not only in the technology but also in modern ways of working to support its use.
This role is based in our office in Perth, WA
This a flexible and varied role working with a diverse range of customers across the cloud transformation spectrum to:
- Be a trusted advisor for all things Cloud
- Lead and inspire our customers on the benefits of cloud technology, automation, and enable a DevOps/DevSecOps culture
- Lead assessments and roadmaps
- Lead solution design, commercial options and implementation
- Provide enablement and guidance
What you'll bring
- Recognised as leading expert in specialty area.
- Excellent customer relationship building and management skills.
- Ability to frequently interact and network with a variety of stakeholders and team members within own area of expertise.
- Establishes and assures adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans, and performance requirements.
- Ability to work on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.
- At least 6-10 years of experience in business management, IT, systems integration consulting, design
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in consulting, engagement/project management, and/or business and resource management
- Specialist knowledge of several industries or segments, coupled with strong analytical skills.
- Good understanding of broad business issues and financial acumen.
- Key vendor product knowledge e.g., AWS, Azure/Azure Stack, GCP, etc.
- Proven knowledge and experience with automation languages, practices and toolsets.
- Strong financial management practices with a clear understanding of the relationship between costs, utilisation and project revenue
Responsibilities
- Delivering an "automation first" culture to enhance customer experience and to ensure the continued relevance and financial viability of our Cloud engagements.
- Designing and developing high quality business solutions and other projects.
- Evaluating customer's business needs, thus contributing to strategic planning of information systems facilities and software directions.
- Being accountable for defined work assignments often involving immediate action or shortterm planning of human and other resources.
- Planning and coordinating resources necessary to complete product implementation and assisting in preparation of major sales proposals.
- Liaising with major customers during preliminary installation and testing of developed solutions or products.
- Managing a team of consultants (largely dependent on the size and scope of client project). Provisioning technical design documentation, outlining solutions to client needs, acting as the technical lead when required.
- Delivering public cloud solutions (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) - (architecting, provisioning, configuration and migration.
- Providing guidance and advice to subordinates within the latitude of established company policies in order to meet schedules and resolve technical problems.
- Maintaining budgeted revenue target in line with team/project KPIs and metrics, actively seeking to eliminate rework in delivery.
- Responsible for implementing a principle driven health and safety culture that cares for employees and ensures their safety in line with Datacom policy.
