This role is part of Fluor Australia's engineering team, focused on delivering large-scale process and control system design for mining and infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities
  • Detailed exposure to large-scale process/machine control systems (PLC/SCADA) for iron ore handling plants such as car dumpers, stackers, reclaimers and conveyors.
  • Lead PLC/SCADA code development, testing and on-site commissioning with familiarity of BHP port asset control systems.
  • Interface with other disciplines and 3rd parties to develop/review drawings, functional descriptions/specifications, commissioning test plans and related documentation.
  • Follow client standards and apply to specific solutions.
  • Contribute to project documentation such as execution plans and related deliverables.
  • Communicate effectively with management, co-workers, clients, vendors and other stakeholders.
  • Provide mentoring to less experienced engineers/designers.
  • Apply strong analytical skills to solve problems with attention to detail.
  • Participate in bid preparations, tender evaluations and related project activities.
  • Incorporate health, safety, and environmental factors in design activities, particularly in relation to functional safety of control systems.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Australian accredited 4-year engineering degree.
