The role

Step into the world of innovation as an Electrical Engineer in our Mining and Rock Solutions division, specializing in Mechanical Cutting. This role will be at the forefront of product development, from initial concept to market launch, bringing your ideas to life.

This role will be involved in developing groundbreaking products for the mining and civil industries. There are opportunities to collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high quality, industry-leading solutions are implemented.

Areas of responsibility

  1. Lead the charge in supporting mechanical cutting and RTV equipment, ensuring top-notch performance and reliability.
  2. Be the vital link with regulators and verifiers, navigating relevant legislation and specific regulations for RTV products in NSW and Qld.
  3. Provide support to product safety, management, production units, and sales departments.
  4. Craft complex electrical concepts for electrically driven machines.
  5. Create detailed circuit diagrams and terminal plans for electric distributors up to 1000V.
  6. Perform precise power calculations and select the best materials.
  7. Develop assembly drawings and bill of materials (BoM) for electrical and control components.
  8. Provide hands-on support for machine assemblies at Site Heatherbrae and in the field.

Your profile

Are you a passionate and innovative Electrical Engineer looking to make a significant impact? We are excited to invite a talented individual to join our dynamic team. With a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, you will bring a wealth of expertise and a passion for innovation to the table. You will demonstrate a minimum of 3 years' experience in electric design engineering/planning for up to 1000V products. You will be skilled in writing technical reports and applications.

With a willingness to take responsibility for project planning and execution, you will demonstrate exceptional organizational and self-motivation attributes. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral, will enable you to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.

Although not essential to the role, you will have a distinct advantage with proven knowledge in tools such as SAP and the mechanical design tool Siemens Unigraphics NX or Siemens Teamcenter. Additionally, your exposure to MS office tools and Electric design tool ELCAD is desirable.
