We are currently seeking aMining Engineer: Underground Production to join our committed and passionate Underground team at Tropicana Gold Mine. Accountable to the Senior Mining Engineer.
This role is offered on an 8 days on/6 days off FIFO roster, where we operate direct flights to our sites from Perth and/or Kalgoorlie.

Role Purpose:

To coordinate the production drilling and stoping activities in relation to drilling and blasting in order toachieve schedule targets. The drill and blast engineers report to and liaise with the Alternate UndergroundManager in order to facilitate the achievement of production targets relating to stope ore movement anddrilling activities.

Accountabilities:

• Be an active safety leader in line with the company values, policies and procedures

• Collaborate with contracting partners to ensure compliance to the mining plan

• Complete stope drill designs, charge plans and reconciliations in line with the business requirements

• Ensure production excellence by participating in QAQC activities for blasting

• Complete slot raising designs, remote plans and void management plans in line with site procedures

• Show active field leadership through regular underground inspections

• Provide mentorship for graduates

• Take lead in business objectives and projects

• Contribute to business improvement initiatives

• Ensure the health and safety of underground workers through detailed and accurate technical plans in line with the WHS Act and Regulations.

About You

• A degree in Mining Engineering

• Previous experience in underground production activites

• Effective time management and decision-making skills

• Strong leadership and communication skills

• Existing Permanent working rights in Australia

• Western Australian "C" class driver's license

• The ability to obtain a new National Police Clearance
