Get access to our Employee Well-Being Program and App, plus other Company perks and discounts.

What Will You Do?

Working in a collaborative team, you'll manage key energy and utility data systems used by the Energy and Carbon team and provide data-led insights and solutions related to our energy, utility and carbon requirements. You will also:

  1. Drive reporting systems resiliency and enhance data sourcing process efficiency and quality.
  2. Ensure that the energy and utility data housed in these systems is accurate and available for various key activities including month-end processing.
  3. Facilitate the interfaces between operational processes and the commercial energy and carbon systems and processes.
  4. Strive to continuously adapt and improve the systems and processes used for energy and utility monitoring and reporting to manage changing technology, business models and policy.
  5. Develop a deep understanding of how energy and utilities are used across BlueScope's Port Kembla manufacturing footprint.

More About You

With an eagerness to learn and develop, you are passionate about energy, industrial processes, improvement initiatives, and problem-solving. You are:

  1. A problem solver with a curious mindset. Interested in understanding how things work and have an eagerness to make systems or processes better.
  2. An ability to communicate effectively and build constructive relationships and broad networks.
  3. Proactive, forward-thinking as you apply your strong analytical skills and maintain a high attention to detail.
  4. A genuine interest to further grow and develop a balance of technical, commercial and problem-solving skills to meet the needs of key stakeholders and emerging activities of the Energy and Carbon team.
  5. Though not essential, experience in data management, data analysis and/or reporting systems development will be highly valued.
