Deputy State Manager, Icon Cancer Centres, Queensland. This executive leadership role oversees a portfolio of cancer centres across Queensland within Icon Group's Cancer Services division, driving operational excellence and strategic growth. Reporting to the Queensland State Manager, the Deputy State Manager will lead operations to ensure high-quality, patient-centred care while achieving financial and performance targets, and will influence innovation and service development across the state.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership & Culture: Inspire and guide multidisciplinary teams across designated cancer centres; foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement; support the State Manager in delivering strategic outcomes and maintaining strong site engagement.
- Operational & Financial Management: Oversee financial performance (P&L, KPI delivery, budget alignment); ensure operational compliance and drive efficiency across services; contribute to strategic planning and project execution.
- Business Development & Growth: Build and maintain strategic relationships with medical professionals and stakeholders; lead business development initiatives and partnerships to support service expansion and innovation.
- Quality & Service Excellence: Champion patient-centred care and uphold regulatory standards; drive quality improvement initiatives and operational enhancements.
- Project Leadership: Manage key development projects aligned with strategic goals; identify and implement opportunities for growth and service innovation.
- Minimum 3 years' senior leadership experience in healthcare (oncology or private sector preferred).
- Strong understanding of cancer care delivery models and health sector funding.
- Strong commercial acumen and strategic decision-making skills.
- Proven ability to lead teams and manage complex operations.
- Sound understanding of healthcare compliance and quality frameworks.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in health or business (postgraduate preferred).
- A commitment to innovation, excellence, and continuous learning.
