Test Manager for a leading Digital Bank Transformation Program

Responsibilities

  1. Manage and ensure delivery of testing services aligned to the project delivery methodology
  2. Develop Project QA Strategy in alignment with QA Policy
  3. Ensure visibility, traceability, and control of the testing process to deliver as per the business requirements
  4. Understand product/business requirements to ensure a successful project delivery that meets client expectations
  5. Build a team with the right skillsets, including QA analyst, architect, automation, and performance skilled resources as required by the project
  6. Define the team's project-specific responsibilities
  7. Facilitate an effective and collaborative team environment, build strong relationships, coordinate resolution of technically complex problems and issues, and resolve interpersonal conflicts
  8. Recommend & implement continuous improvements to QA processes and activities based on defect root cause and learnings from similar projects
  9. Develop communication plans, define testing delivery team roles and responsibilities, plan and monitor project schedules to ensure on-time delivery
  10. Monitor and track progress against milestones. Report on testing items to key internal and external project stakeholders on agreed time intervals
  11. Understand high-level business, functional, and technical solution requirements, and facilitate communication and coordinate discussions that drive decisions at the appropriate stage of the process
  12. Serve as the main point of contact for all communication and information for Test Service related management
  13. Analyse and report on trend, performance, availability, and capacity management for Testing Service delivery
  14. Report upon testing activities including Test Summary Reports
  15. Review testing entry/exit criteria
  16. Identify test environment requirements
  17. Identify test resource requirements
  18. Coordinate shakedown testing for project test environments
  19. Management of test data requirements

SKILLS

Must have

  1. 10+ years of experience in quality assurance
  2. 5+ years of experience as a Test Manager
  3. BFSI Domain knowledge - Core banking, Cards, Lending, and Payments
  4. QA methodology - Waterfall, Agile, and DevOps
  5. Technical expertise - Expertise in the software architecture layers - Presentation, Logical, and Data around on-premises and cloud
  6. Testing and quality - Manual and automation testing, test process management, and testing governance and guidelines
  7. Social skill - Interpersonal skills, Stakeholder management, conflict management
  8. Participating in preparation of quality assessments, reports, and metrics formulating go-no-go statement based on reports and metrics, test progress, and defect status
  9. Presenting test improvements and developments in daily progress meetings including planned vs actual
  10. Acting as the main liaison communicating between the team and the rest of the internal and external organization
  11. Lead execution of planned test cases, ensuring that all test results are correctly recorded against the system
  12. Develop detailed work plans for engagements, status tracking and reporting, and production of high-quality deliverables for clients
  13. Responsible for all Test, Test Tools Development, and configuration management activities
  14. Experience in test planning and strategies
  15. Extended experience in SDLC and STLC
  16. Software Quality Assurance (SQA) - Business Model understanding, Requirements engineering, Architecture and development, Testing and quality, and social skills and leadership
