What You Will Be Doing

The acute/subacute speech pathology team works within multidisciplinary teams across acute/subacute sites and in partnership with community teams. The grade 2 speech pathologist provides evidence-based and person-centred clinical care, in partnership with the multidisciplinary team, patients, and families.

What You Need

We anticipate you will have:

  • Eligible for practising membership of Speech Pathology Australia
  • Experience in the provision of evidence-based adult speech pathology assessment and management practices
  • Commitment to own professional development
  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven involvement in quality and service improvement activities
  • Strong time management skills

Desirable Criteria :

  • Experience in student clinical supervision
  • Experience in speech pathology clinical supervision
  • Videofluoroscopy competency or commitment to undertaking and maintaining competency
  • Tracheostomy competency
