Location: Perth Precinct, WA, AU

Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, the Plant Mechanic will join our Perth Branch team on a Full-Time basis. You will be working on a variety of Caterpillar equipment conducting various tasks, these can include dealer provided option installations, maintenance, testing and build ups to customers specification ensuring optimum safety and efficiency throughout the entire build.
The Perth Branch Department at WesTrac specializes in providing cutting-edge machinery solutions tailored to the evolving needs of the mining and construction industry. Our team is dedicated to delivering innovative, reliable, and efficient Caterpillar equipment and service to enhance operational productivity and safety.
Roster: 5 days on, 2 days off – 10.5 hours (including a meal break)

2 weeks days 06:00am-16:30pm

1 week afternoons 15:00pm-01:30am

What You'll Do:

• Build, test and maintain the latest Caterpillar machinery ensuring it meets our quality and performance standards
• Work alongside team members to manage and complete high volume tasks
• Promote, encourage and monitor safety to a high standard within the team
  
  

Skills & Experience:

• Australian Recognised Trade Certificate (Heavy Vehicle Mechanic)
• Ability to work well under pressure whilst maintaining high safety standards
• CAT equipment experience is highly desirable
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical problems efficiently
• Ability to work on various types of machinery and adapt to new technologies and methods
• Precision in assembling, testing, and maintaining equipment to ensure safety and performance standards are met
