Position Title: Systems Engineer - Cyber Focus
Location: Kensington, VIC (Hybrid work model available)
Duration: 6-month contract
Key Responsibilities:
Cybersecurity & Resilience
- Collaborate with system specialists and the Cybersecurity team to plan maintenance activities and perform remediations.
- Analyse the IT environment and provide recommendations for increased cyber resilience
- Administration and enhancement of Conditional Access controls
- Implement and manage MFA solutions across enterprise systems to enhance identity security.
- Collaborate with Cybersecurity and Risk teams to enforce security controls, monitor compliance, and support incident response.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments, patch management, and system hardening activities.
- Contribute to cyber resilience initiatives, including disaster recovery planning and threat mitigation.
Infrastructure & Systems Administration
- Administer and maintain Windows Server environments, ensuring performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and related services across hybrid environments.
Identity & Access Management
- Maintain AD structures, OU design, and user/group permissions with a focus on least privilege and role-based access.
- Integrate identity solutions with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure AD, Office 365, ServiceNow).
Required Skills & Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in Windows system administration in enterprise environments.
- Expertise in Azure platforms, including O365, MFA, and other Microsoft cloud admin portal
- Hands-on experience with XDR or MDR solutions.
- Advanced knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, Conditional access and MFA technologies (e.g., Microsoft Authenticator).
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, risk mitigation, and compliance frameworks.
- Understanding of network security systems
- Experience with PowerShell scripting and automation.
