How will I help?

As a Credit Manager in Credit Operations, you will be a key member of the Mortgage Operations business and your role will be paramount to the delivery of Westpac's vision. You will display a strong customer and operational focus, as well as ensuring a high level of productivity, service delivery and regulatory compliance.

You will be responsible for working our credit hotline, providing a full credit assessment of all transactions up to $5 million, proactively managing the credit process by liaising with relevant stakeholders (internal and external) and making decisions on customer home loans.

What do I need?

To be successful in this role, you must have previous experience in Leadership and a customer-focussed outlook. We are looking for a passionate and curious individual, who will strive to meet our Mortgage Operations Lending needs, delivering sound customer focused risk/reward outcomes. You will also have a growth mindset, demonstrated problem-solving skills, adaptability, as well as the ability to work in a high-impact and fast-paced environment.

  • Similar experience in the banking/financial services industries.
  • Ability to influence key stakeholders.
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage workloads based on priorities.
  • Confident written and verbal communication, with the ability to build professional partnerships with internal and external customers.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Positive attitude, strong accountability and solutions-oriented.
