The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled and qualified Plumber to join an established team in Rockhampton, Central Queensland. You will be responsible for the installation of plumbing systems in various new and existing commercial buildings.

You'll be working on diverse and challenging projects in a fast-paced environment, with the opportunity to work alongside Tier 1 construction companies on local projects.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Install various plumbing systems, including hydraulic, civil, fire services and specialised plumbing services
• Diagnose and troubleshoot plumbing problems, ensuring timely and effective solutions
• Read and interpret plans and specifications to understand project requirements
• Adhere to all safety regulations and ensure a clean and safe work environment
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used, including ordering materials
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues, contractors, and clients
• Participate in professional development opportunities as required
• Assist with coaching apprentices

About You

It is important that you're able to work independently and collaboratively with other tradespeople to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently and to the highest standards.

Your skills and attributes will need to include:

• Plumbing Trade Qualification
• Minimum of two years experience in the commercial plumbing industry
• QLD Gas Fitting Licence
• Construction Industry White Card
• Valid Driving Licence
• Demonstrated knowledge of plumbing industry codes & standards
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
• Excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Safe work practices & commitment to safety

• Poly Welding Qualification
• Confined Space Entry
• Working at Heights
• Elevated Working Platform (EWP) High-Risk Licence
• Roofing experience
• Additional tickets, e.g., Machinery operating tickets (excavator, skid steer), Trades certification
• Backflow endorsement
• TMV endorsement
