About The Role

Juniper is seeking an experienced Assistant Care Director to support the Care Director in delivering high-quality aged care services across our residential, home, and transition care programs. This full-time position is based at our central office in Balcatta and reports directly to the Care Director. It is a strategic leadership role that will contribute to the continuous improvement of care, staff development, compliance, and operational excellence.

As the Assistant Care Director, you will play a key role in ensuring the highest standards of person-centered care. You will work closely with the Care Director to lead teams, implement best practices, and ensure compliance with Australian Aged Care Quality Standards. This role also involves workforce planning, financial management, and fostering a positive and collaborative culture within Juniper.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Support the Care Director in overseeing the daily operations of aged care services.
  2. Lead and mentor teams to maintain high performance and quality care.
  3. Ensure the delivery of person-centered care that meets customer needs.
  4. Oversee care planning, assessments, and compliance with best practices.
  5. Monitor training programs and ensure continuous professional development.
  6. Conduct audits and risk assessments to maintain regulatory compliance.
  7. Assist with recruitment, workforce planning, and staff performance management.
  8. Support budgeting, financial planning, and resource allocation.
  9. Build and maintain relationships with customers, families, staff, and external stakeholders.
  10. Address concerns and implement improvements to enhance service quality.
  11. Ensure adherence to health, safety, and risk management protocols.
About You

To succeed in this role, you will have a strong leadership background in aged care or healthcare and a passion for delivering exceptional care and support services.

  1. A tertiary qualification in Nursing, Health Administration, Aged Care Management, or a related field, along with a minimum of five years' experience in aged care or a similar healthcare setting.
  2. Postgraduate qualification in Aged Care Management or a related field.
  3. Experience with accreditation processes and quality improvement initiatives.
  4. Proven leadership experience in managing teams and driving service excellence.
  5. Strong knowledge of Aged Care Quality Standards and regulatory requirements.
  6. Experience with workforce planning, budgeting, and financial management.
  7. Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making skills.
  8. Proficiency in IT systems relevant to aged care operations.
