On Luck Chinese Nursing Home, part of the Chinese Community Social Services Centre Limited (CCSSC), is the Chinese-specific residential aged care facility in Victoria, providing 120 residential places, including 30 dementia-specific places. We are proud to deliver culturally appropriate, high-quality aged care services to the Chinese Victorian community.

About the Role:

We are now seeking an experienced General Manager to lead and manage our non- clinical team and ensure continued excellence in service delivery, operational performance, and community engagement.

As General Manager, you will lead the overall operations of On Luck Chinese Nursing Home. Your responsibilities will span leadership, strategy, compliance, quality care, resource management, and stakeholder engagement. You will work closely with the senior management team to drive continuous improvement, deliver outstanding aged care services, and ensure the wellbeing of both residents and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & People Management

Lead and support senior managers to deliver high-quality, resident-focused care

Develop and mentor team members while managing performance and team dynamics

Foster collaboration and communication across departments

Regulatory Compliance & Quality Assurance

Ensure compliance with Aged Care Standards and relevant legislation

Oversee audits, complaints management, and continuous improvement processes

Strategic & Business Planning

Lead strategic planning and resource optimisation across non-clinical and operational areas

Manage budgets and support financial planning, including procurement oversight

Stay informed of aged care sector trends and lead innovative improvements

Operations Management

Oversee efficient procurement and facility operations, including catering and cleaning

Develop and implement strategic workforce plans to ensure service continuity

Stakeholder & Community Engagement

Build strong relationships with residents, families, and local community networks

Represent the organisation in community events and partnership initiatives

About You:

We are looking for a dedicated leader with:

Proven experience in senior management within aged care or health services

Strong knowledge of aged care compliance, legislation, and quality standards

Demonstrated skills in team leadership, strategic planning, and operational oversight

Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

A passion for working with the Chinese community and a commitment to culturally appropriate care

Bilingual (English and Chinese) language skills are essential, with Chinese being a mandatory requirement.
