This role deputises for the Team Leader during absences, provides technical oversight and guidance to a small technical team through the year, both in Barracks and deployed to ADF training areas throughout Australia. This position provides critical support to ADF training activities.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct operator level function checking of equipment assigned for use on training exercises
  2. Conduct minor operator level maintenance of equipment
  3. Raise non-technical inspection reports to commence the maintenance process for damaged equipment
  4. Maintain the cleanliness of the equipment, training facilities and vehicles used for exercise support
  5. Assist the issue and receipt process for the instrumentation training equipment
  6. Work with other team members to deliver soldier and vehicle equipment kitting/fitment
  7. Train the customer in the operation of instrumentation
  8. Assist in the establishment and ongoing support and maintenance of the contractor field accommodation prior to/during/post exercise periods
  9. Assist in the establishment and pack-up of deployable facilities
  10. Assist with preventative maintenance for all assets as directed
  11. Assist in system stocktaking and audits as directed
  12. Follow equipment procedures and processes IOT support a safe working environment
  13. Perform basic driving tasks as directed
  14. BPT issue and receipt equipment utilizing Cubic's inventory management tool
  15. BPT conduct battery management including charging and recharging of battery fleet, and preparation ISO activities
  16. BPT collect and maintain data on battery health statistics
  17. BPT conduct additional tasks as directed

Minimum Job Requirements:

Skills/Experience/Knowledge

  1. Experience in a similar role (highly desirable)
  2. Experience operating in a small team environment
  3. Eligibility to obtain and hold an Australian Defence Industry security clearance

Desirable

  1. Medium Rigid driver's licence
  2. Forklift licence
  3. Experience in audio stores, maintenance or logistics
