Sr. HR Business Partner, Data Center Planning and Delivery. AWS is seeking an exceptional HR business partner to drive the development and implementation of the HR strategy in support of the Data Center Planning and Delivery (DCPD) organization. The role requires a data-driven, customer-obsessed HRBP responsible for driving organizational effectiveness and implementing strategic HR programs within a fast-paced, global business unit.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement people plans and solutions to achieve initiatives and deliver results, aligning with the broader organizational priorities.
- Partner with senior leadership to develop the talent strategy enabling growth and a work environment where employees can thrive.
- Collaborate with specialist and central HR teams, as well as matrixed site and geographically aligned HR colleagues, to support the global talent strategy while tailoring activities to the business needs.
- Function as a consultant and trusted advisor to key leaders; engage in strategic planning to translate business needs into HR plans.
- Partner with executives on organizational design, communication strategies, workforce planning, succession planning, and skills assessment and development.
- Review and analyze business metrics (e.g., retention and employee experience) to recommend systemic improvements.
- Partner on designing Talent Reviews focused on succession planning, talent development, and organizational health priorities.
- Provide compensation support including salary planning, approvals of salary actions, promotions, and job re-leveling.
- Create, deploy, and scale programmatic solutions to meet current and future needs; drive HR process and tool innovation for scale and efficiency.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 7+ years in an HR generalist leadership role
- Strong judgment and experience coaching leaders
- Broad knowledge of HR theory, including employee relations, learning, and performance management
- Excellent written and verbal communication, data visualization, and facilitation skills
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally as appropriate
- Master's degree in Human Resources or MBA
- 5+ years as a business partner driving organizational change and talent management for global teams
- Experience in the tech industry and highly matrixed organizations
- Experience leading global HR programs and change management
- Ability to diagnose issues and drive strategic solutions with initiative
- Ability to refine strategy and gain buy-in by influencing across different levels of the organization
