About the Role

The Statewide Care and Support Services Liaison Officer provides advocacy and program support for Foster and Kinship Services at Baptcare. The role is responsible for a range of administrative and project management tasks including daily program operations, carer recruitment, marketing, data entry, financial management and processing, stakeholder engagement, and communication with service

Key Selection Criteria

  • Experience in providing high-level administrative support and project management or case management in an office environment
  • Demonstrated experience in customer service, marketing, and recruitment, including an ability to work with and engage people from a diverse range of backgrounds
  • Confident ability to liaise with staff, clients, families, contractors, and visitors from all walks of life, individually and in group settings, and be prepared to respond flexibly and positively to the changing needs of stakeholders
  • Demonstrated positive interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated understanding of the importance of confidentiality
  • Excellent computer skills including document/project plan production, record keeping, word processing, client and risk databases, account processing and spreadsheets
  • Demonstrated organisational and coordination skills, with a capacity to work collaboratively as part of a team, as well as work independently and meet deadlines within the context of a changing organisational environment and competing priorities
  • Demonstrated experience engaging with people who are caring for children and young people who may be experiencing grief, loss and trauma
  • Demonstrated ability to write and communicate clearly and succinctly for a range of audiences, alongside proven communication with stakeholder engagement skills that support service outcomes and builds productive relationships with stakeholders
  • Understanding and compliance with workplace health and safety responsibilities
  • Alignment and commitment to Baptcare's Mission, Vision and Values

About You:

  • Can work autonomously as part of a statewide team, with oversight from the Care and Support Services Manager
  • Uses guidelines, procedure manuals, practice frameworks and policies to exercise professional judgement when working under limited direction
  • Undertakes work with integrity and honesty, adhering to confidentiality requirements and demonstrating a commitment to working effectively with clients and professional stakeholders
  • Is committed to work health and safety and achieving a zero-harm workplace
  • Has a demonstrated understanding of the complexity of out of home care and family support systems

Essential:

  • Current motor vehicle license
  • Ability and willingness to travel
  • Satisfactory National Crime Check, renewed every three (3) years
  • Current Working with Vulnerable People registration
  • Competency in using the range of Microsoft Office computer software
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in marketing, sales, recruitment, or other relevant human services field and/or equivalent experience
